More Than a Trip
A pilgrimage is more than a vacation, it is a journey shaped by faith, reflection, community, and encounter. Whether you are traveling to deepen your own faith, share a meaningful experience with loved ones, or bring your parish community together, the right journey creates space to step away from the ordinary and return with a renewed perspective.
Hidden Gem Travel offers faith-based travel opportunities for individuals and groups, along with custom pilgrimage planning for parishes, dioceses, ministries, schools, and other faith communities.

Create a Custom Pilgrimage for Your Parish or Diocese
Your community. Your intentions. A journey created with purpose.
Every faith community is different. Your parish, diocese, ministry, school, or apostolate may feel called to visit a particular sacred destination, honor a saint, deepen a devotion, celebrate an anniversary, or simply travel together in faith.
Hidden Gem Travel can work with you to create a custom pilgrimage or religious retreat shaped around your group’s spiritual purpose, preferred dates, destination interests, group size, pace, and travel needs. We coordinate the travel details so your spiritual leaders can focus on guiding the journey.
- Custom destinations and itinerary options
- Travel planning for parish, diocesan, and faith-community groups
- Group airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, and logistics
Faith-focused itinerary elements and sacred-site experiences - Flexible pacing for your group’s ages and mobility needs
- Support for registration, traveler communication, and payment planning
We can explore opportunities for Mass, spiritual direction, local guides, and faith-focused experiences based on the destination, group needs, and supplier availability.
Travel That Gives Back to Your Faith Community
When Hidden Gem Travel partners with a parish or diocese on a custom pilgrimage or religious retreat, we will donate 100% of our proceeds from the trip back to the participating parish or diocese.
Your group can travel with purpose while creating direct support for the faith community that brings you together. Funds may be directed according to the parish or diocesan leadership’s priorities and applicable financial policies.
Important: Each parish and diocese has its own policies for fundraising, financial administration, group travel, and outside partnerships. We encourage group leaders to obtain the appropriate parish and diocesan approvals before promoting or collecting funds for a trip.
How It Works
1. Share your vision
Tell us about your faith community, the purpose of the journey, likely group size, and the destination or spiritual theme you have in mind.
2. Build the journey together
We explore itinerary and travel options tailored to your parish or diocese, then refine the experience around your group’s needs.
3. Invite your community
Once details are approved, your parish or diocese can invite travelers to participate in a journey rooted in shared faith and connection.
4. Give back
After the trip, Hidden Gem Travel donates 100% of our proceeds from the custom group experience back to the participating parish or diocese.
Pilgrimage & Retreat Questions
Can anyone join an upcoming pilgrimage?
Some departures are open to all travelers, while others are created specifically to support a parish or organized group. Each itinerary page will explain who may join and how to register.
Can Hidden Gem Travel plan a pilgrimage for our parish or diocese?
Yes. We can work with parishes, dioceses, ministries, schools, and faith communities to explore a custom pilgrimage or religious retreat based on your group’s purpose, dates, destination interests, group size, and travel needs.
Does our parish need to have a destination chosen before contacting you?
No. You can begin with a destination, a saint or devotion, a particular spiritual theme, a rough travel window, or simply the desire to bring your community together. We will help you explore realistic options.
How far in advance should we start planning?
For international parish or diocesan pilgrimages, begin as early as possible - often 12–18 months in advance - to allow time for itinerary development, group pricing, registration, payment plans, spiritual preparation, and required approvals.
How does the parish or diocese donation work?
For eligible custom pilgrimages and religious retreats, Hidden Gem Travel donates 100% of its proceeds from the trip back to the participating parish or diocese. The exact process, timing, and recipient should be documented with the appropriate parish or diocesan leadership before the trip is promoted.
Do you work only with Catholic groups?
We welcome conversations with Christian parishes, dioceses, ministries, churches, schools, and faith communities seeking a meaningful travel experience. Contact us to discuss your group’s vision.
